Reforming/Renovation still happening...

Hello there! It's been a while since I last blogged, for sure. Being on the computer isn't really one of my priorities these days.
Today, though, I decided to get on the computer and post some more recent photos of our building-turning-into-house.
As you can see, the building is still under construction...sort of like how our life is at the moment. Everything is just everywhere; unorganized; incomplete.

Toilet, Kitchen, and door to personal rooms.
Dining room and living room.

As you can see, there's still lots to be done. Kitchen and a few other parts aren't finished yet. Josh and Aiki have been busy with other work so they haven't been able to get around to working more on the house. Sometimes I feel like putting a few more tiles down on the floor to complete it faster. Ha! But, having Brian constantly in my arms doesn't help much.

He's definitely getting naughtier. I find myself having to talk stern with him and correct him.

Ooh, and I also started (and finished) my first period since getting pregnant, and having my baby, just a little while back. Oh Gawd!! I forgot how miserable I become during that week.

Below, Brian is seen with a tissue box that Mommy gave him, because he refused to sleep and Mommy was just super tired and cranky (being on your monthly does that to you)! He just wanted to touch and nurse, and was acting all clingy because he was sick. But, I was so frustrated and I just wanted to go to sleep. Josh wasn't around to help, so I gave him the tissue box that he's been trying to get at for the past week. He sat there all happy pulling tissue out one by one till there was none left in the box, while I tried to enjoy those few moments of peace in a pile of chaos.

He was beaming and all smiles the next day. I can't stay mad at him. He's just the sweetest!! I love his smile! (Note: Look, he's starting to crawl!!)

  1. oh the first period is awful!! thankfully you get it a little later, I got it the third month and it was like 1 month after lochia so it was like I never had a break :( LOL

That sink looks amazing!! Great job josh and aiki! It's so tiring having a busy baby, he's just ready to explore, such a handsome boy. I thought you had other mothers around to maybe watch him for 2 seconds? The place is coming together! It's nice having an open living/dining area for baby that is, they can run from area to area. Hope you can get some rest, sounds so tiring. Don't be too strict with him, let him win a few things if it means getting some rest haha. He's still too young to know right /wrong and too young to remember any correction at this stage.

    1. Thanks lils, yeah he has become a hand full in these last couple of days. Being able to suddenly crawl perfectly, as if he's been doing it for weeks! The correcting that I'm talking about is like when he scratches or hits someone or pulls on the girls hair, I tell him "no no. Gentle." then show him the better way to do it, moving his hands across their face or wherever. Usually this works and he finds it amusing but sometimes he arches his back, yells, and goes at it again. So, that's when I talk stern and repeat the same thing. He's a prett good boy, but is a real exaggerator.

  2. Nahh, I`m missing everything...starting to crawl already? Told you, he`ll be walking next time we meet and just might be right.

The house is coming together nicely... makes me really want to decorate your place...haha ehem. Sink looks stylish. Are you going to do the bathrooms the same too? My kids are really going to miss that looong hallway though.

The tissue thing actually got really popular in Japanese baby/parenting TV and books some years back, then mom`s realized their babies started eating the tissue...hahaha, like what? you seriously didn`t see that coming? After tissue box comes the toilet rolls, and your long hallway is a little boy`s dream ;) So much fun! Can`t wait to hear Brian`s naughty stories.

  3. He makes me smile, everytime. His face is almost a perfect square... with a little chin. Such a cutie!
