Brian has been sleeping real late these last two weeks or so. He tries his very best to stay up as late as possible. He looks sooo tired, and his eyes are half closed, but he's got this huge goofy smile on his face and can't wait to play with the next person that walks into the room. Grrr...
I've been kicking Josh out of the room the last 3 or 4 days to see how that works, because Brian just loves to try and get Daddy's attention so he can keep playing and not sleep. It hasn't been working out too well, because he just get's cranky and starts crying. He's just not ready for sleep or something. So...today I woke him up at 8:00AM (normally he sleeps 11, sometimes 12, and wakes up at 9:00~9:30) to see if he'll just start going on an earlier schedule over all. We'll see how things go. :)
I'm tired... yet...I would enjoy a good movie right about now. Ha! I guess I'm not too tired.
ahahah, such a goof! Same with amelie, shed get all happy and wound up when max is in the room. It's good to get it pitch black so they can't see anything and just quiet them down slowly before bed. ease them into it lol, that outfit is so funny on him.
ReplyDeleteYeah, outfit is still too big...
ReplyDeleteI'll try pitch black tonight! Heheh...he doesn't know whats coming to him.
Poor Josh, kicking him out of the room...LOL. Ahh, so funny. I`d like to know his reaction to the pitch black... first time eh?
ReplyDeleteReaction to "Pitch black":
ReplyDeleteIt was faster putting him to sleep, but when he woke up 1 or 2 hours later he must have been scared or something, because he cried and cried for while (not too long), and I turned the dim lights on and he fell back to sleep.
He doesn't like the dark. Josh said that at different times when he carried Brian back to the house (from another house) and the street lights weren't on, he cried because he was scared. Poor little man doesn't like the dark.
If he's with Mommy nursing usually it's alright. :)
I guess I'll use the "pitch black" on him next time he stays up way past his bed time. It might scare him into sleeping close to Mommy. But, if he's sleeping on time, maybe I won't need to use it. :)
Nah, don`t if he`s scared, poor guy, it could later on in life be a big paranoia for him. He needs to figure out that the dark will not hurt him so he really doesn`t need to be scared, and the best way would be to be close to him when he has to face that fear.
ReplyDeleteNothing wrong with a night light. It`s all about the ambiance anyway. Same way when beer enters the room, you feel like "lets get this party started!!", when lights are dim and voices are low, you feel the need to move slowly, calmly, talk quietly. He`ll get it eventually.
